One price change, everywhere it lives

A price does not live in one place. It lives on your site, in the till, on 3 delivery platforms and on a sheet somebody printed in March. You change it once.

The point is not the typing. It is the platform you forgot, selling at last season's price for 6 weeks before anyone noticed.

Where one price actually lives

Every business has a different set, and none of them talk to each other. The service holds the list for you.

  • The site and the till

Your own pages and the system that takes the money, which are the 2 that have to agree first.

  • Every delivery platform

Each one with its own back office, its own commission and its own idea of what a menu item is.

  • What is printed and displayed

The board, the card, the shelf label. These do not update themselves, so they are listed and reprinted.

What happens when you change one

You send the change however you like: a message, a photo of a marked-up menu, a line in a spreadsheet.

  1. The change is read

One item, a whole section or a percentage across the card. What you meant is confirmed back to you before anything moves.

  2. Every place is updated

In one pass, so no channel spends an afternoon selling at a price the others have left behind.

  3. What could not change is named

A platform that was down, an item that does not exist there. You get the short list, not a silence.

  4. The change is recorded

What changed, where, and when. 6 weeks later, that is how you find out what you were actually charging.

What the service will not do

This moves prices. It does not choose them.

  • Decide what to charge

Pricing is the part of your business that is yours. Nothing here suggests a number or moves one on its own.

  • Change a price without you

No rule raises anything overnight. Every change starts with you saying so.

  • Rewrite your menu

Descriptions, photographs and what goes on the card are yours. The service carries them, it does not edit them.

Questions owners ask

How long does a change take to land?
Minutes on the channels that allow it, and the same working day on the ones that need a person in their back office. You are told which is which before you rely on it.
What if a platform has no API?
Then somebody signs into its back office and makes the change there. That is still one message from you instead of 5 logins.
Can I change a whole section at once?
Yes. A percentage across a section, or a new price on every item in it, is one instruction rather than 30.

This is one of 6 tasks the service covers. See the whole list, before and after, or read how supplier invoices are checked line by line.

Describe one task

Write down the task, the kind of business you run, and how often it comes up. That is enough for us to tell you whether it is worth automating and what it would take.
